Our Team

Michael Knehr, DVM

Dr. Knehr graduated from Purdue University Veterinary School in 1993. His areas of interest in the veterinary field include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, diagnostic ultrasound, pain management, and senior pet care.

Dr. Knehr loves to go fly fishing, biking, hiking, and spending time with his daughter and son when they are on break from ASU – Go Sundevils! He also enjoys watching New York Yankee Baseball as often as possible. He has 3 beautiful cats; Gronk, Slater, and Jules (his wife is a big Patriots fan) and a golden retriever named Quake (short for Earthquake Lake on the Madison River).

Dr. Knehr’s goal as a veterinarian is to provide compassionate and knowledgeable veterinary care for pet family members and for the community. He invites you to visit the hospital and make Sun City part of your pet’s healthcare team.

 

 

Our Team

Melissa Sigal, DVM

Dr. Sigal graduated from veterinary school at Louisiana State University in 2006. She has a Labrador mix named Wonka, and a cat named Voodoo. Her primary focus within the hospital is dentistry. Dr. Sigal adopted Voodoo as a kitten who needed full mouth extractions due to severe juvenile gingivitis. During her free time she likes spending as much time as she can with her family especially her son Sawyer.

 

 

Kincade Audette, DVM

Dr. Kincade graduated from veterinary school at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) She grew up in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Kincade and her husband decided to escape the rain and move to Las Vegas permanently in April 2022. Together they have 6 animals including 3 Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, two cats, and a corn snake!

Dr. Kincade grew up participating in 4H and competitively showing dogs in AKC confirmation, obedience, agility, and rally. In her free time she enjoys water sports on Lake Mead, exploring local pubs, skiing, and traveling.

Dr. Kincade’s veterinary interests include geriatric patients, internal medicine, surgery, and neonatal care.

 

 

Dr. Che Yu Chan

Dr. Chan graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at National Taiwan University. After graduation, he worked in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, where he met his wife. They later moved to the United States together with their cat and dog, and have since adopted another dog named Toby.

Dr. Chan has a strong interest in dentistry and has completed the full dentistry program from the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS). He is also skilled in ultrasound and internal medicine.

In his free time, Dr. Chan enjoys spending time in nature, visiting national parks, hiking, and going to the park.

 

 

Nathan Hamilton, DVM

Dr. Hamilton graduated from veterinary school at Colorado State University in 2024 as part of a 2+2 program with the University of Alaska Fairbanks. As part of the program, he had the amazing opportunity to work with Alaskan sled dogs and reindeer.

Dr. Hamilton is originally from Orange County, California. His grandmother has lived in Las Vegas for almost 30 years, and he visited often. He became familiar with the area and fell in love with the surrounding mountains. He and his wife are now excited to call Las Vegas home and to be closer to family.

Dr. Hamilton’s veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, pain management, animal behavior, nutrition, and weight management. He loves working with cats, dogs, and livestock. He is also Fear Free certified and is dedicated to providing the best veterinary care to your pets.

In his free time, he enjoys swimming, hiking, biking, and rock climbing. He also enjoys juggling, which he can often be found doing while riding his bicycle. Dr. Hamilton is a fan of science fiction novels, movies, TV shows, and video games. He and his wife are the proud companions of a senior chihuahua named Spirit who is quite a spirited character indeed.

 

 

Catherine Lopez, DVM

Dr. Lopez graduated from veterinary school at Colorado State University in 2024. Her first two years of veterinary school were spent at the University of Alaska Fairbanks as part of a 2+2 program with CSU. After enduring the below freezing winters there, she and her husband decided to try out the warmer and sunnier weather that Las Vegas had to offer.

Dr. Lopez was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where her love for the great outdoors was nurtured. Her hobbies include hiking through the Rocky Mountains, visiting national parks, reading, watching science fiction TV shows, and traveling in general. She is the proud pet parent of a senior Chihuahua named Spirit who loves to go everywhere with her.

Dr. Lopez’s veterinary interests include exotic animal medicine, neurology, and ophthalmology.
